TORNADO™ product line provides the ultimate solution to hot and humid climates such as ocean coastlines and even extremely hot and humid regions such as the Gulf Coast.

Tornado products protect your camera and equipment from extreme conditions, enduring temperatures up to 140°F/60°C and humidity levels up to 95%. Excessive heat can damage cameras, but the Tornado D2 enclosure acts as a robust barrier, significantly reducing heat-related wear and tear. This enclosure is tested to be water, dust, and air tight, ensuring your cameras stay operational in harsh environments.

When most cameras shut down due to extreme heat, the Tornado keeps them running flawlessly. It provides crucial airflow circulation around the enclosed camera and sensitive hardware, minimizing hot-spot buildup and equipment damage. The Tornado operates at a maximum of 4 watts and delivers 20 CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) of air movement to keep cameras and components within their safe operational temperature range.

Additionally, the polycarbonate thermal plastic compound used in the Tornado provides maximum IR reflection. Inside, a reflective thermal blanket offers heat and EMI shielding, ensuring year-round peak performance for your cameras.

All housings are fully sealed and rated at IP68 (D Series) and IP66 (S-Type) providing protection from dust and water. We chose Polycarbonate Thermal Plastic for its non-conductive thermal properties and its unsurpassed strength providing the ultimate isolated protection against vandalism and temperature changes. Think of this enclosure like an ice chest for soft drinks at a BBQ. It keeps the heat out and protects the contents inside only our products are about 100 times stronger.

Polycarbonate Thermal Plastic also blocks the majority of heat trying to enter the enclosure. The insulated reflective padding has a 2 part temperature defense system that slows the remaining heat trying to enter (as seen on the COOLDOME™, Tornado, and Heater & Blower models) providing greater protection against temperature change from within the enclosure allowing your equipment to operate at its desired temperature with no dictation from the weather outside the enclosure.

Dotworkz offers three main temperature regulation options. Active cooling (COOLDOME™) removes heat generated by equipment, extending camera life in hot climates such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, and New York in the summer. Heater/Blower systems (Heater & Blower, Ring of Fire) use thermostatic control for ultimate climate regulation. Heater & Blower is ideal for typical city climates like Chicago and Miami, while Ring of Fire excels in frigid areas like Anchorage, North Dakota, and even the poles. Passive cooling (BASH) uses thermal conductive material to transfer heat without extra power, efficiently cooling equipment from the outside air.
